And so for the past couple of days I’ve been in good ‘ol Canberra and I have to admit this trip has been interesting but then again Canberra in springtime is always fabulous.
I’ve just noticed that Qantas staff now reads your boarding pass and will say good morning/afternoon/evening Mr/Mrs/Ms {enter your surname here}. I’ve never noticed this before, maybe it’s a new thing, maybe not. Anyway, as I was moving along the queue to board the plane I could hear Ms Qantas staff say good morning mr jones, good morning ms smith but when it came to my name I was merely a “good morning”. Oh come on!!! My surname only comprises of three words, three Spanish words and so what if the good ‘ol boarding pass decided to disregard the spaces and lump my surname into just one word, how hard could “rayosdelsol” be so hard to say??!?!? LOL

It happened to me on the flight to AND from Canberra. Each time I giggled a little in the inside. I wonder if I’ll still get that reaction if I start using Pob’s surname Uil. Having a 3 letter surname doesnt necessarily make it easier so I’m thinking I’ll prolly get the same reaction LOL.

Back to Canberra, I really do miss the nice crisp Canberra weather. The clear blue skies with the sun just bursting into song! It it just lovely!

And what is with the stick shift? I hear you ask. Well my sister asked me to pick up her son from her in laws place while she was in a meeting. She has a manual car. Simply being able to drive a stick shift on the highway at speeds befitting the non existent traffic and take in the beautiful Canberra scenery was just simply fantastic!
Every now and then I do really miss Canberra !!!
